About this site
My name is Madeleine Bair, or as I tell Colombians, Magdalena, like the river that cuts through the heart of this country from the Andean mountains to the port of Barranquilla into the Caribbean sea. I'm a reporter and a student at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. I am spending the summer of 2009 reporting in Colombia.
